Penn State’s Garrett Sickels signs with Colts, Lions ‘still in mix’ with Micah Parsons and more

Wide receiver Chris Godwin was, as expected, the only Penn State player selected in the NFL draft, selected in the third round by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Four other former Nittany Lions reportedly have signed as undrafted free agents.

The mother of defensive end Garrett Sickels announced on Twitter that the Indianapolis Colts added her son after he elected to forego his final season and declare for the draft. As Josh Moyer of the Centre Daily Times noted, Sickels was one of 28 early entry candidates to go undrafted, despite leading the Lions with 6 sacks and 12.5 tackles for loss and topping the defensive line in tackles (47).
